The Reading Biscuit Factory – New 3 Screen Cinema

BFS Committee members Allan Matthews and Diane Thomas recently visited this new cinema in Broad Street Mall in Reading and were greatly impressed by the facilities and the films being shown. Having only been open a month, the venue’s food outlets are still being developed, but already there’s a bar, coffee shop and a big café / seating area, partly out of doors.

The Reading Biscuit Factory aims to provide a community hub, showing films that would otherwise require a trip to London. Cinemas and foyer space are available to hire, with reduced rates for charities.

The three theatres are impressive, with comfortable seats and good sight lines. Viewing “The Last Bus”, starring Timothy Spall, proved a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Both visitors joined the member scheme (£25 pa for over 65s). Ticket prices are competitive: £9 for adults, £7.50 for Seniors and reduced rates all day Tuesdays.
