Based upon Arthur Ransome's immortal children's novel, a group of youngsters spend one idyllic summer holiday in 1929 messing about in boats in the Lake District. A magical adaptation of the beloved book, full of charm and excitement, and appealing to both children and adults.
We are delighted to welcome David Wood OBE to speak about his work on the film and his career. David is a theatre director and playwright (the ‘national children’s dramatist’ -The Times); his plays are performed worldwide. He is also a children’s author, magician and children’s entertainer. As an actor, he has starred on stage, television and on screen. His stage adaptations include Goodnight Mister Tom and The Tiger Who Came to Tea.
